About Our Honey

What’s in Your Jar?

At Desert Farms Apiary, every jar of honey tells the story of the land, seasons, and wildflowers that surround our hives in West Richland, Washington.

Located near Round Top Hill in the heart of the Columbia Basin, our bees forage across a diverse landscape of native shrub-steppe habitat, irrigated farmland, orchards, vineyards, and residential gardens. This unique environment produces honey with flavors that change naturally throughout the year, creating distinct seasonal harvests that reflect the character of Eastern Washington.

Summer Harvest Honey

Our Summer Harvest Honey is gathered from the abundant blooms of late spring and early summer. During this season, bees collect nectar from clover, alfalfa, orchard blossoms, wildflowers, and a variety of flowering plants found throughout the region.

The result is a light, smooth honey with a delicate floral aroma and mild sweetness that makes it perfect for everyday use. Whether drizzled over toast, stirred into tea, or enjoyed by the spoonful, Summer Harvest Honey captures the bright flavors of the growing season.

Round Top Reserve Fall Honey

As summer gives way to autumn, the landscape surrounding our apiary transforms. Native rabbitbrush, asters, goldenrod, and other late-season wildflowers provide essential forage for honeybees preparing for winter.

This rich autumn nectar creates our signature Round Top Reserve Fall Honey. Darker in color and more robust in flavor, this seasonal honey offers a deeper, more complex taste that reflects the rugged beauty of the Columbia Basin.

Raw. Local. Pure.

At Desert Farms Apiary, we are committed to producing honey as nature intended. Our honey is carefully harvested, minimally processed, and bottled to preserve its natural flavor, aroma, and character.

From the hills and fields of West Richland to your table, we are proud to share a true taste of the Columbia Basin.

A Reflection of Place

We do not blend honey from distant regions or import honey from outside sources. Every batch is harvested from our own hives and reflects the natural forage available within our local environment.

Because honey is a product of nature, each harvest is unique. Weather patterns, rainfall, and seasonal blooms all influence the flavor, aroma, and color of the honey produced each year. We believe these natural variations are part of what makes local honey so special.
