About Our Honey

Pure Honey. Local Roots. A New Beginning.

At Desert Farms Apiary, we believe exceptional honey begins with healthy honeybees, responsible beekeeping, and a deep appreciation for the land that sustains them.

Our story begins in the heart of Eastern Washington, where agricultural landscapes, diverse flowering plants, and hardworking honeybees come together to produce a truly remarkable natural product.

Our 2026 Harvest — From Grandview to West Richland

Our current 2026 honey collection was harvested in Grandview, Washington, before our honeybee colonies were relocated to their permanent home at Desert Farms Apiary in West Richland.

Produced in the agricultural heart of the Yakima Valley, this harvest represents the beginning of a new chapter for our apiary. While our honeybees now call West Richland home, their 2026 honey reflects the landscape and growing season of the Grandview area.

We're proud to share this inaugural harvest with our customers as we continue growing our West Richland apiary and prepare for future honey production right here in the Tri-Cities. Naturally Delicious. Carefully Prepared.

Honey is one of nature's most remarkable foods. Its color, aroma, and flavor are shaped by the nectar sources available to honeybees throughout the season, making every harvest unique.

At Desert Farms Apiary, we take pride in carefully preparing our honey for bottling while preserving its natural character.

Our honey is:

  • Raw and minimally processed — Handled with care to preserve its natural qualities.

  • Moisture tested — Evaluated for quality before bottling.

  • Carefully strained and clarified — Prepared to remove unwanted wax particles and other hive debris.

  • Beautifully packaged — Our signature raw honey is presented in traditional glass Muth bottles that celebrate honey's timeless appeal. Select classic glass jars are also available in limited quantities while remaining inventory lasts.

Natural crystallization may occur over time. This is a normal characteristic of honey and does not mean it has spoiled.

Rooted in West Richland. Growing for the Future.

Today, our honeybee colonies reside at our permanent apiary in West Richland, Washington, where we are committed to responsible colony management, sustainable agricultural practices, and the continued development of our family farm.

As our apiary grows, we look forward to introducing future harvests that reflect the changing seasons and diverse forage of the Columbia Basin.
