Desert Farms Apiary Earns Washington State Veteran-Owned Business Certification

Today marks an important milestone for Desert Farms Apiary as we officially received certification as a Washington State Veteran-Owned Business.

For many small businesses, certifications are simply another item on a checklist. For us, this recognition represents something more meaningful. It reflects the values of service, commitment, and perseverance that continue long after military service ends.

As Desert Farms Apiary grows, we are focused on building strong relationships within our local community, connecting with other veteran-owned businesses, and participating in programs that support Washington agriculture and small business development. This certification helps open those doors while also allowing customers and partners to easily identify and support veteran-owned enterprises.

The veteran-owned business community in Washington continues to play an important role in the state's economy, and we are honored to be included among those businesses. The certification program is administered through the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs and helps recognize businesses owned and operated by veterans throughout the state.

While our honeybees may do most of the hard work, milestones like this remind us that building a successful farm is about more than honey production. It is about establishing roots, creating something lasting, and contributing to the community we now call home.
